Released in 2004 by the legendary Japanese company, Hario, the V60 has become a household name in specialty coffee. It is popular for its ability produce sweet and clean tasting cups of coffee, that are consistent and repeatable. As with most cone shaped brewers containing one large drain point, it allows for more water to contact the coffee bed. And the spirals on the sides of the cone, help to better direct the flow of water, resulting in less bypass, allowing for a more successful bloom. If you are looking to get into specialty coffee, this is a great starting point.
